And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue His work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. Philippians 1:6 NLT

A life verse from the Bible speaks to your heart in a personal and profound way. When you read, hear or think this verse, it captures an important component of your life. It often states what you believe, what you hope for, what the foundation of your life is. Although it can be a challenging endeavor, it is one that can bring you closer to God and encourage you to delve deeply into God’s word for His personal message to you. Your verse may be a very popular one that most everyone knows or It may be so obscure that no one would know where to find it. It is God speaking to you.

Many people make it a habit to read through the Bible every year. One year, as I read through the scriptures, I wrote down the verses I felt God was saying to me in that season of my life for a particular reason. Those verses produced a scriptural story of my life that I found fascinating. I didn’t plan it, I was just seeking to know His will.

You can have multiple life verses or they may change with the years. My life verse (Philippians 1:6) is a promise God made to me at my conversion at age 55. It comforts and encourages me every day.

The Amplified Bible says: I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will (continue to) perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus. 

The Message Bible says: And I am sure that God who began the good work within you will keep right on helping you grow in his grace until His task within you is finally finished on that day when Jesus Christ returns.

Four words calm my heart and give me joy: I am Certain, Convinced, Confident, and Sure.

HE WILL DO IT!
